Sidewalks: questions

Anything about your own ground or schedule, call and ask.

Do you build ADA-compliant sidewalks?

Yes. Where a walk has to meet ADA requirements, we check the slope, cross slope and width before the forms go in.

What finish is best for a walkway?

A broom finish gives good grip when it is wet, which is why most walks get one. A stamped border adds a pattern without making the walking surface slick.

Why do sidewalks have lines cut across them?

Those are control joints. Concrete shrinks as it cures, and the joints give it a straight place to crack instead of a random one.
