A walkway pour, screeded by hand

A four-man crew strikes off a fresh concrete walkway between staked forms, pulling the screed across the pour before it is floated and finished.
The concrete is in the forms and the crew is striking it off. Two finishers kneel at the forms and draw the screed board across the pour, riding the top of the forms so the walk comes out at the height and slope they were set to. The others pull the extra concrete ahead of the board with rakes, so the board never runs short.
Caution tape keeps foot traffic off the fresh concrete while it is being worked.
What happens next
Once the surface is level, it is floated to close it up, the edges are tooled, and control joints go in so the walk cracks where it is told to. A broom finish goes on last for grip when it is wet.
