The job

A house slab is the one pour you can’t redo. We work from the foundation plan, place the reinforcement and moisture barrier where the plan calls for them, and pour and finish it level. Builders get a pour date, and a call from us first if weather moves it.

House slabs: questions

Anything about your own ground or schedule, call and ask.

Do you pour slabs for home builders?

Yes. We pour house slabs for builders and general contractors as well as homeowners. See the page for builders for how scheduling works.

What happens if it rains on pour day?

We move the pour rather than put concrete down in bad weather, and you hear it from us first, with the next date.

Why does a slab need a moisture barrier?

Ground moisture wicks up through concrete. A barrier under the slab keeps it out of the house and away from the floors laid on top.
